Webinar WP2-WP4

WP2 and WP4 organised a common webinar to present the progress of their work and get feedbacks from expert. The meeting started with a presentation of WP2 showing their work to detect and model spatio-temporal patterns of life-history traits. A good occasion also to explain their objective to get an inventory of data availability and gaps. Thenn Jérémy presented his work to review and compare different methods that could be used to model such temporal trends of life history traits, and could potentially be integrated into stock assessment models. Romuald showed a framework he has developed to enhance the computational performance of stock assessment models and that have already greatly facilitated the work of ICES WGNAS. Finally, Becky presented a preliminary work to integrate time-varying natural mortality in the ICES WGBAST assessment model. Amazing work already done in this first year of DIASPARA, and a fruitful collaboration between the two WPs and the eel/salmon experts. The slides can be found there.
